The Sa Kaew governor has assigned officials to investigate speculation surrounding a fugitive red-shirt leader's fake visa to Cabmbodia.

Meanwhile, Sa Kaew's deputy immigration police chief has stated that Cambodia has canceled the red shirt leader's visa.

Sa Kaew Governor Sanit Naksuksri disclosed that investigators have been assigned to look into speculation surrounding the Cambodian Consulate in Arunyaprathet district allegedly issuing a visa for fugitive red shirt leader Arisaman Pongruangrong.

Arisaman is wanted by Thai authorities on terrorism charges.

Thailand's Foreign Ministry has scheduled a meeting with the Cambodian ambassador to discuss the issue.

Meanwhile, Sa Kaew's deputy immigration police chief Benjapol Rodsawasd stated that the Immigration Bureau has sent a letter to the Cambodian Consulate in Arunyaprathet district, notifying Cambodian officials that Arisaman is wanted by the Thai court and he is forbidden to leave the country.

In the latest development, Arunyaprathet's Cambodian Consulate has canceled Arisaman's Cambodian visa.

Fake or cancelled visa?

Lost in translation again

Odd place that Cabmbodia :)

Regards

Nothing but an honest mistake in Arismans application process, actually the visa was applied for by a "fake Red Shirt" in Arismans name truth be known.

OOOh look at that growing proboscis !!

I assume the Cambodian authorities will inform k. Arisman as soon as they are able to find him. Maybe apprehend him as he no longer has a valid visa. Maybe even extradite him back to Thailand. Maybe even tell the Thai authorities about it. Please tune in tomorrow for the next episode of 'the life and songs of a fugitive UDD leader' ;)

One can only chuckle, since in this part of the world it is a perfectly feasible answer.

Also, why is it Cambodias problem that he is prevented from leaving Thailand?

He is forbidden from leaving Cambodia. They don't want him coming back to Thailand and spilling any beans ... although I'm sure he's eaten them all.:whistling:

It's called "To fill the well after the calf has drowned". Now in Cambodia (as rumour has it) and without valid visa, the Cambodians have yet another 'illegal alien' on their hands, or rather in their country. It's just neighbourly from the Thai government to inform their Cambodian counterparts and say 'sorry one of our nationals duped you into a visa, please return him when you find him'.

And politely inform them that they have cancelled his visa. Better than "Yes, Prime Minister."

Anyway, let's see if they get him back any time soon.

Hun Sen could get a phone call from Takki, and Arisman would get a diplomatic visa the next day.

Odd place that Cabmbodia :)

If a cab is your primary mode of travel there, then Cabmodia would be a suitable name.

Hoe can anyone cancel a fake visa?

I have lots of fake toy bank notes I used to lay with. It is obvious fake. Does bank of Thailand has to cancel my fake toy bank notes to stop me from using it?
