Currency Exchange At Cnx Airport

Featured Replies

Can anyone confirm that there is a currency exchange booth at the CNX airport where I can buy $$ with THB and is the rate same as outside/bank currency exchange??

Jaideeguy, there are currency exchange counters opposite the international arrival lounge.

I usually find you can get a better rate if you get your currency exchanged at the various booths in the city though.

Jaideeguy general rule is never and I mean never exchange money at an airport. They have the worst rates going.

True!!! Try UOB (United Overseas Bank) exchange booth on Ratchademnern, in the middle of first block from Moonmaung, next to Siam Bank booth, or at Night bazaar on Changklan near Anusarn market. They give the best rates that I've found on buying Thai baht, not sure about the other way around. You can check exchange rates online with the various bank websites.

OK, thanks for confirming what I thought to be.......fx @ cnx. What about airport plaza for FX?? Don't really want to fight traffic in downtown and leaving tomorrow.

Any bank or exchange booths. They are at Airport Plaza.

I arrived in CNX last week, tried to change money at the Bangkok Bank booth, they had run out so went to a branch at BigC hangdong, the rate at the airport was better!

When I visit the airport the rates are generally the same or slightly better than most places. So it doesn't really matter. Which is very strange compared to most international airports.

In town booths typically don't change from baht into other currencies, though some bank branches do. And then there's the gray money changers in the Warorot area.

Airport (experience only with Suvarnabhumi) isn't that bad either. WAY better than trying to change baht in the USA anyway. ;)
