Has anyone got the ECTACO Partner ETh900 or other models ?

I was wondering what it was like to use for learning thai as I was considering purchasing.

I'm not sure of Thaivisa's policy on including web links so if anyone is interested in the device its the company name.com

An electronic translator is not going to help that much in teaching you the language. A traditional language course is probably better value for your money.

What an electronic translator can do is help you get your point across on the spot in case of a communication breakdown.

I don't know about specific electronic translators but being able to hear a word of your choice being spoken is very helpful to me.

I can read the words all day but what if I am learning to pronounce them incorrectly?

I guess make sure it has a big vocab and clear sound.
