Goin' Movies In Udon - English And Thai ?

Featured Replies

does Udon have movie theatres which show movies in English with Thai subtitles or in Thai with english subtitles ?

There is a very modern multi screen cinema in the Chareonsri Complex in central Udon showing all the latest farang and thai films. Neary everything you need to know about Udon is on the Udonmap.com website.

thanks for your friendly response. I know udonmap-website since long time and I know that of course THERE ARE movie theatres in Udon..... but that was not my question actually..... hope some Udon resident can reply to my question... :o

Ok, have reread your question.

Some english speaking films are dubbed into thai and have no english subtitles. Some are still english speaking with thai sub titles,

and most thai films have english subtitles.

Most big block busters are dubbed into thai loosing the english sound track. That is how it is mostly in Udon. Some films don't get dubbed at all just subs. You will need to check each film.In Bangkok and Pattaya there is usually a version still in english with thai subs due to the larger expat communities there.

Same with buying DVDs if you look around you often can get both versions.
