STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT (BNO NEWS) -- Vince McMahon, the chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), on Monday night gave the last push to his wife's, Linda, Senate race for Connecticut.

On Monday Night Raw, WWE's record-breaking television broadcast, Vince McMahon appeared in a comedy sketch that had implicit political messages. The WWE chairman had not appeared on the live broadcast since April.

McMahon surprisingly reappeared on Monday Night Raw in a sketch along actor Freddie Prinze Jr., who played a doctor who was examining McMahon who was in a coma. Prinze is tending the WWE chairman, who is dressed in a hospital gown, and tells him about his wife's Senate race and the $50 million spent in her campaign.

After learning the amount of money, McMahon suddenly awakes from the coma and questions Prinze about the price tag. After he remove the bed clothing, McMahon discovers he was covered with "Linda for Senate" bumper sticks.

During the sketch, McMahon said he hated politics and when realizing that his wife may be a future Senator, he said he might run for President. After that, he went out of the room and a big campaign poster of Linda's opponent, Democrat Richard Blumenthal, is covering his buttocks.

Linda McMahon's Senate campaign has been marred with criticism towards the WWE. Blumenthal and his associates have continuously attacked the McMahons for promoting a violent show that is intended for children and young viewers.

Linda was the CEO of WWE until last fall, when she resigned her post to begin her Senate campaign. Vince McMahon has not been involved publicly in the campaign but he recently won a decision that allowed Connecticut voters to wear WWE apparel in the polls.

This is not the first time that Vince Mc Mahon has used WWE's broadcasts to promote or defend Linda's campaign. A few weeks ago, Vince, through a video, urged WWE fans to defend the company from opposition attacks and show support in any form, especially using social networks.
