November 5, 201015 yr Recently asked Thai Embassy in Wgtn NZ about getting a double entry tourist visa. Their response: Yes, you can apply for a tourist visa double entry if you could provide evidence that you need 2 entry by showing us your booked itinerary or providing us a letter explaining your situation. Holidays of 2011 can be found at www.thaiembassy.org/wellington then go to "Working & Holiday"

November 6, 201015 yr Author Your not kidding mate. Have to renew my passport soon and after filling in the 15 pages of the renewal forms I find they now have a new lot of forms this time only 10 pages. Now got to download the new lot and get some new photos taken because the ones I have dont fit the specifications. Would you believe they have a full page telling you how your (2) photos should look and if they are not exactly right they wont be accepted. Compare with the Thai version, one page and they take your photo on site. Another comparison is the trouble a Thai has to go to to get a tourist visa to NZ. An inch thick stack of paper and 3 months wait for a decision. Me I prefer the Thai way, why I'm here of course.

I got my Filipino girlfriend a visitor's visa for NZ in one month - after submitting 3 inches of material. Perhaps the extra 2 inches made the difference lol. The problem I find with NZ passport renewal is getting the photos signed and witnessed by non-family people. I've been away for 27 years, so that's not easy. I'll have to go through it again next year...and of course the 5 year passport is a bit sad too.
November 6, 201015 yr Author With the new forme you dont have to do that now. They want contact details of someone who can say its you, including their PP number. Check out the web site. Yes only 5 years stinks. Guess with the previous 10 yrs here wasnt enough work to keep someone in a cushy job so it had to be changed, same with the new forms.
