August 7, 200521 yr Supermarkets tend to have a great selection of ham products, but one thing I always notice is the absense of chicken and turkey breast slices. Even though I had checked out numerous notable farang markets in Bangkok, I never once found real chicken or turkey at the deli sections. The only similar thing found everywhere is called chicken bologna, but that stuff just about makes me gag as the taste and texture is just not appetizing. The chili and paprika varieties help mask the taste, but not enough. I don't think I want to know what goes into making this really cheap bologna. Then one day I happened upon Foodland at patpong and they have real smoked turkey slices. Not cheap, but worth every baht to me. Now you know.
