Take Out Thanksgiving Dinner

Featured Replies

Did a search on the site. Haven't seen anyone asking the question yet this year. (Some guys in Chiang Mai are talking about it, but I mean discussions by real people who live in an actual city like Bangkok, not 2 bit towns.) I have never done it in years past, but my mom is here from the states and wants to celebrate. We have 2 small children so going to a restaurant is out of the question. This needs to be something we can pick up and take home, preferably with limited or no preparation.

Does anyone know if any of the chain stores are offering a set menu this year? Barring that, is there a restaurant which will provide the service?

Ideas and suggestions appreciated.

I was eating here the pther day and noticed on the flyer something about Thanksgiving dinner take away, so I looked this up for you.

I've only eaten there about 8 times and always the same, what can I say they do a great SOS.

look here at bottom of page http://www.bourbonstbkk.com/thanksgiving_2010.html

As mentioned above, Bourbon Street does both a buffet and an order-in-advance type thing for eating at home.

A lot of the big hotels have similar offerings (but at a big hotel price).

If you don't mind cooking yourself, Villa, Foodland, etc. start stocking turkeys at this time of year.

Last year the Merkin at my work ordered in a massive feast from the marriot that we had during our lunch break, was lush.

Bourbon St is great food, I have to say!! I have been buying cornish hens at villa and making stuffing and cooing them on grill, little bit of mashed potatoes and some ears of corn, all you need is desert!
