p1p
I'm trying to find a supply of DendÍ Oil (azeite de dendÍ) in Thailand, preferably in the North. Has anybody ever seen it here? (Dendl Oil is one of the basic ingredients in Bahian or Afro-Brazilian cuisine, it adds a unique flavour and bright orange color to foods and can not be successfully substituted.) Second to the above. Why does dried mint seem to be unavailable here. The Chiang Mai shops have a variety of dried ingredients, but no mint. RamdomChances
Don't know about the oil but cant you use fresh mint, or does'nt it grow up there. Loads down here.

But there are times that dried mint works better and I can not keep fresh mint in a container in my spice rack... I'm also particularly interested in why it is unavailable when so many other western herbs are so easy to find.
