japatee
hi.. can anyone help? my thai wife has a thai friend (female) that wants to come to England with us. the only contact she has there is us. she wants to stay for one month as a tourist. she would be able to live with us at my parents house for the duration of her stay. my wife already has 10 year tourist visa but her friend has never been to the UK before. what is the likelihood of her gaining a visa? has anyone been in this situation? can i act as guarantee financially? what information would i need to provide? thanks in advance if anyone can help G

VisasPlus
Unfortunately it's not as simple as elliss says. The visa officer is going to want to see that your wife's friend has a reason to return to Thailand after her visit to the UK. You haven't given any information about your wife's friend, so we don't know if she is employed, has savings here. etc, etc. There are many posts in the forum about getting a visit visa. Have a look through. These links will help you with the visit visa requirements : http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/infs/inf2visitors http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/vafs/vafsdocschecklist/

She owns a guest house in Chiang Mai. She has a thai boyfriend (who won't be coming to the UK). She should be able to prove that she works in Chiang Mai through her bank statements.
