Gas Refrigerators

Featured Replies

Anyone know if gas refrigerators are available in Thailand, full size, not camping size?Used to have one in England years ago.I would say they would have a good market in Samui, due to the terrible frequency of power outages and reduced voltage, especially over the past month of monsoon conditions.

A good idea, but a previous thread does not offer much hope.

Even the really bad storms we have just had should not have caused any problems with food going off. I had no power for a number of days and the food in the freezer is still fine. Granted the ber may not have been as cold as liked but not to the extent of going to the expense of getting a gas back up fridge. I simply went to the 7/11 bought some ice and used a freezer box. A much cheaper alternative for you. ;)
