Hi guys, is there an equivalent for the expression 'a broken family' in Thai?

This could mean:

a) a family that has fallen apart from divorce, which is not what I'm interested in.

or

b ) a family that contains unmarried partners, with children from different spouses. That's more like what I have in mind.

Many thanks for any help

I believe "ครอบครัวแตกแยก" is the Thai equivalent term, but this is the same as meaning (a) of your post.

As for meaning (b ), I wasn't aware that that was a possible meaning of the English phrase. I'd tend to call that a type of "blended family."

A.

บ้านแตกสาแหรกขาด = broken family and kinship destroyed

B.

1. ครอบครัวใหม่ = new Family 2. เริ้มต้นชีวิตใหม่ = starting new life
