Minimum Size Passport Photo For A Visa Extension

Featured Replies

I only just came back from my local shopping mall and whilst I was there I purchased new passport photos for my next visa extension application. The photographer spoke very good English and asked me what the photos were needed for. When I told her she changed the back ground sheet for a blue one and assured me the photos she was about to make were acceptable for the Thai Immigration. The photos she made are 4cm x 5cm and not 4cm x 6cm as stipulated on the TM7 application form, will the photos I purchased be accepted. Thanks.

Should not be a problem. All the photos I made at our local shop over the years are 41 x 53mm and never had any problem (Immigration BKK)

They normally accept anything close and officially say both 4x6cm and 2x2 inch so it does not have to be exact. Blue background is required for Thai ID photos but is not required by Immigration in my experience.

I used a small size photo with a white background, no comment made.

I am going on my trip soon to Malaysia Embassy,

I was going to give them 2 photos I have left from my Work permit application.

Would they complain that these are larger that the specified?

Thanks
