Yes - $20 and don't forget a photo (no need to be too recent as long as it looks like you; I repeatedly get away with using a stock that is 4 years old and were printed on photo paper on my PC printer, whereas the UK would reject those photos on two counts!).

Bit of a scrum when you get to PP airport, so if you can get off the plane smartish it may cut your delay to 10 minutes instead of 20. I think they will take baht but the exchange rate will be crap - better to get a supply of dollars before you go to Camby anyway (try to get less than $50 denoms); the Cambodian Riel is only used for small local transactions and as change for splitting one dollar into smaller denominations.

Taxi from airport is regulated $9 to anywhere in PP - a 20-30 minute journey outside rush hour. Tuk tuk saves only $2 on this and is not worth it - too slow. No buses I know of but you could ask on Khmer440.com (TV.com's equivalent) if you want to save. No forget that - you are flying not taking the cheap charlie bus, so presumably you will want to pay for the convenience.

www.canbypublications.com should be your tourist bible. Best one-country travel website around. TAT take note!

PM me if you need any more info. (I'm not selling anything!)

Thank you both for this info it is appreciated and very helpful! will go and get some dollar this week :)

Santisuk - thanks for the link will take a good look at it, I booked a hotel in PP that offers a pick-up service, although seems I will be paying over the odds as they are charging me $12 not to worry.

This will be my first trip to Cambodia so am looking forward to it, although one thing that concerns me is travelling at night time, I am a young female (well youngish at 26 ;) ) and I have read that sometimes taxis take you to somewhere other than you asked so you buy something?? .I know not to believe everything I read, and I do have some street sense after being in Thailand for a while but it did catch my attention when I saw this several times.

However to be honest I will most likely be in my hotel bar in the evening so not really that much of an issue, unless I somehow get lost biggrin.gif

Thanks again !
