How much is it per can?

320 baht for a six pack.

:burp:

So more or less the same price as Villa across the street who have been selling it for many months

They introduced that Dr.Pepper rubbish to Australia a long time ago. I tried it and nearly spewed. It has not been on Aussie supermarket shelves for many years now. Different strokes for different folks. I believe the Yanks put marmalade on their steaks.

Au contrair. I love sodas, in Italy too we have some strange too, like chinotto, made with Citrus (kind of bitter orange), cedrata, made with a strange kind of lemon, etc.

The problem is that they are full of sugar and not so suitable for a health and fit life (and the CO2 inflate your belly).

Personally I find tasty the Pepsi Max (0 calories), much better than Coke Diet or Zero.

Nearly $2 a can isn't cheap. Think I remember Villa being cheaper than this

In Japan you can get it for 24bt a can in a small import shop. How can something be 50% cheaper in one of the most expensive countries in the world?

Maybe they manufacture it in Japan. In Thailand it's all imported from the US. Hopefully someday they'll start making it here

No the Dr Pepper here is imported from the States. It says quite clearly. And this is a small business, they would not have any purchasing power.

This isn't a swipe at the OP as god knows I wish I were rich enough to think that 55bt was a "very low price" for a soft drink. But, I think one of the reasons that Thailand has such high prices these days in the farang centered economy is exemplified by this very post. Too many farang, well for a poor guy like me :) happy to pay prices that 90% of the locals would never dream of.

What you won't see us eating is any stinking Vegemite.

You're right on that, I'll take Vegemite anyday!

Well, this is certainly a productive thread. OP tries to impart some information that SOME will find interesting and yet some members feel the need to weigh in with some posts that border on just sheer nastiness.

OP will certainly think twice before offering up information to the negative crowd that inhabits this forum I would think. Sad, frankly because its this kind of attitude that makes people think twice before posting anything.
