December 3, 201015 yr I've been reading topics about plantation of ton son tree. Is this a maple tree? how feasable would be to plant them in Issan region and what's the investment return? any feedback is highly appreciated.
December 7, 201015 yr It's a pine/conifer/fir tree. Maple is May-pehn, Thai way of pronouncing the English word Sorry, but I can't help with your other queries

December 12, 201015 yr It's a casuarina. grows easily in sandy soil. Ton Son, from what I understand, is a general term for conifers of Thailand. But it has to be qualified if you are talking about a specific species. Ton son 'talay' is the Casuarina equisetifolia that grows by the sea. Ton son song is a two needle pine, etc. Edited December 12, 201015 yr by drtreelove
