From reports, it is clear that the England Bid Team received various 'promises' that they'd receive votes from certain areas, Jack Warner's COCACAF for instance, and perhaps this Thai / Asia FIFA member.

If they wish to change their mind at the ballot, then the England FA are just as entitled to change their mind also.

The match, I sem to recall, was billed as a commemorative match for some anniversary of HM The King. So, on that basis, there may still be an attractive fixture set-up for the celebration.
