hi, From ko Samui

i left Athens with Thai wife with a visa non immigrant 'o' and the reason was our marriage(single entry 90 days). after that i got 60 days from samui immigration

.in about a month i need to go to Malaysia for the next one, which place could be possible to get 3 months again without needing show money or income. penang , kota bharu or kuala lumpur

Hoping getting the same i got now which is non immigrant o (Thai wife). may somebody help

If you only need the 90 days why not get a free tourist visa 60 day and then extend that by 30 = 90 days or get a double entry (free) and that will give you a total of 180 days, 60 +30, 60 + 30.

No need for large cash in the bank book either.

(hope I got that right, mario/Lopburi/Lite Beer are the experts and I am sure will correct if wrong)

KL will also issue a Multi Entry Non Imm O valid for 12 months if you have 100,000 Baht in the bank.

Are you sure? I also had a relatively good experience at KL (other than having to overnight despite being there at opening time).

However everyone in brown I've discussed this with talks about B400,000 and it only being done in BKK.

Or are you just talking about the visa itself, still requiring a visa run every 90 days?

I'm talking about the ability to stay in Thailand, only having to check in at Immigration every 90 days.

And while I'm at it, is residency the only thing that gets around that last requirement? It's such a PITA now that they're so far away (I'm just around the corner from the old Suan Phlu location :(

I got a 12 month multi entry in Georgetown just 3 months ago.

I had all the paperwork but no time to get my embassy to verify the cash I earn each month, that's why the multi entry instead of straight 12 months.

Seems to me you are confusing a VISA with an "Extension" the Visa is obtained outside the Kingdom, the extension is granted inside the Kingdom.

Having recently been to KL myself for a Multi O 1 yr based on marriage they DO require 100k in a Thai bank account.

When applying for a 1 yr EXTENSION of said visa based on marriage you will also need to show money or income or a combination of both to the value of 400k.

The extension requires only reporting each 90 days which can also be done by post. The Visa alone requires a border run every 90 days.

Good luck.:jap:

Almost correct.

The 'combination' is not available for an extension based on marriage.

It's 400,000 baht in the bank or 40,000 baht a month income.

The combination of bank and income is only available for a retirement extension.
