Hi there,

I've read a few stories about people extending their Non "O" visa. Here's my situation:

I got my visa from the Thai Consulate in Hull, UK, October last year. The visa itself expired a couple of months ago - 13th October 2010. I did a border run before it expired so effectively I will of had about 14 months out of it. On the final entry into Thailand it's stamped up until 17th December 2010.

I live here with my wife (Thai national) and we have two children together. Basically, have I missed my chances of extending any further? I had anticipated that I would need to go to Laos to get a new visa come 17th December. I've been making visa runs every 90 days the past year because I can't satisfy the bank requirements etc to do the 90 day reporting in Bangkok.

If it's possible for me to avoid a trip to Laos, I'm all for it! If not, no worries.

Thanks in advance.

You can postpone a trip for 60 days for 1,900 baht and a visit with wife and paperwork to immigration for a 60 days extension of stay to visit her. There is no requirement for funds and only basic marriage/children paperwork.

Excellent, that's what I was hoping for! After the 60 day extension, I'll then have to leave Thailand? I'm planning a trip back to UK, so will probably end up getting another multiple entry Non "O".

Thanks!
