Extension Of Stay To Visit Wife And Child?

Featured Replies

My work permit and permission to stay(Non- B) expires on 11th January. I need to get a 90 day extension if thats possible. I've heard that theres a visit wife extension of stay for 90 days but cant find info anywhere. I'm on a non- B that expires on 11th of January. I have a Thai wife and kid and I really dont want to have to leave the country if I can help it.. Any advice greatly appreciated....( My company said they can extend it for me for 7 days but I need longer than that..) :)

You can extend 60 days to visit your Thai wife.

See point 2.24 of Police Order 777/2551

Just today I got my second 60 extension of stay to visit my Thai daughter (me and mum are not married)

I took;

1 Completed TM7 form with passport photo

Photocopies of; Birth certificate, Visa page and arrival card of passport, ID page of passport, copy of family registration book showing daughters registration

It costs 1900 Baht

I would suggest taking mum and child with you , the authorizing officer asked to see both :-)

I was all done in one hour

hope this helps

I suspect you had an exit/entry from Thailand between those two 60 day extensions of stay? If not where did you obtain them. Thanks.

Sorry, I should have clarified, yes each extension was on a different non-o (and in a different passport)
