RickSee
Any advice out there on the best smart phone to buy (for non-business, personal use) in Bangkok? Any insights on relative advantages, rough prices and best places to shop would be greatly appreciated. thanks, RS

mrclough
I'd go for one that corrects your grammar for you? A true godsend of a function
Xircal
Mobile phones appear to be more expensive here than they are in the Netherlands despite the letter levying 19% VAT on them. I would imagine the same will apply to the UK. For the pros and cons of an indiviual phone, Trustedreviews.com are pretty reliable in my experience. MJo
Look the new reviews and pick few you like based on the specs and then go to MBK and try them out yourself. Buy what ever suits your hands and wallet.
TexasRanger
Make sure that if you test a phone at MBK, even if it comes from a box all sealed up, they sometimes sell secondhand phones as new. My Mrs got a Nokia smartphone that had no ringing sounds, luckily we found out fast and got to the same girl who served us and got a new one. We now only buy from real dealers in Bangkok. Not saying they are all like that, just be aware.
