Hello Everyone,

Please help me out.

The Husband is a Foreigner and has a Visa with Working Permit from his company.

The Husband wants to bring his Foreigner Wife with him in Thailand.

What does the Wife need to stay in Thailand?

Thanks!

If the husband is on a one year extension of stay the dependent wife would qualify for issue of a non immigrant O visa which could then be extended for the same period as husband.

If husband is on 90 day visa entry there is no provision for wife to obtain visas or extend her stay.

An alternative stay can be made by meeting education requirements.

Friend of mine goes to KL every 15 months for he's multiple entry non-B. (has WP)

He's wife gets a non-O the same time as dependant.

Don't qualify for extension of stay so goes for a border dash every 90 days with he's wife.

Been doing it for 13 years now.

Has he tried to obtain an extension of stay? That's a long time for both to have to make 90 day border runs if it could be avoided. The cost of the border runs might pay tax for a higher income if that is the only issue.

I suspect the non immigrant O is issued as a broad interpretation of stay with the family. In the case of Thai family this seems to be getting much more difficult to obtain locally for more than single entry.

Don't make the money, have no employees, don't pay VAT.

He actually enjoys their "holiday" in Hat Yai, coming away from Samui.
