Custom Made Cowboy Boots

Recommended Posts

For the last 10 years I have had my cowboy boots made at the siam bootery, but they have steadily risen in price from 2500B per pair to 8000B per pair. Does anyone know of anywhere else that can do custom made good quality cowboy boots for a better price?

Where are you located ?

I live in Bangkok, I used to buy my boots in Dallas, Texas before, but custom made boots are pretty expensive there.

Human feet are not naturally tapered down to a point . The chinese foot binding comes to mind. Have you ever seen one of those gals try to walk? Reminds me of my grandpa who wore cowboy boots until his feet were so buggered up he could not walk but STILL could ride his horse...again just an attempt at some tongue in cheek humor. Good luck on finding a cobbler.post-49171-0-74058500-1292121404_thumb.j

Agree mostly with bunta. The best boots in the world for a country lifestyle are R.M.WILLIAMS, from Australia. They have a wide range of styles, export everywhere, and are a national icon. But they are not cheap. They almost never wear out and are made by traditional methods, using the best leather. Probably 90% of blokes who live and work in rural OZ own a pair or two. The other 10% own Baxters, which are more of a working boot, - also not cheap. But you pay for quality.

My choice would have to be Tony Leather. There used to be two of them. Both were on Suriwongse Road one opposite the Tawana Ramada and the other on the opposite side of the road nearer the lights with Rama IV, after the entrance to the Montien.

Tony has been making boots for me for close to twenty-five years and they always last a long time.

I will admit that he aint cheap any more though.

I was up around Khao Yai National Park on the weekend (Saraburi and Prachinburi) and there were a lot of stores selling cowboy clothes. I can't vouch for the quality though.
