The room I am in gets morning sunshine right from sunrise and by 8:30 am , it may still be cool outside, but my room is baking hot. So I figure I would hang one of those plastic tarps outside my East wall. I can attach it easily enough, I see right where to tie it off.

I can't find where to get one of these plastic shade tarps anywhere. Just about every street storeside in Bangkok, and many houses, have them hanging. But I have been to Home Pro, Big-C, Lotus, Even Some huge furniture mall that was half way to the airport. Nobody sells them.

I would like white or silver to reflect the light. I would prefer if it had poles on the long sides. About 3 or 4 meters by 2 meters would be nice size. It would be best if it didn't say "drink coke" or have local politician face on it (though I could always just turn one of those over). I have looked with a Thai friend for these too, he has now idea where to get one. How can something so ubiquitous be so difficult to find.

Anyway, if anyone knows where to buy (not steal at midnight) a plastic shade tarp, I appreciate it.

Thanks,

What about getting some large plants? I just put in a few to block the sun on my western exposure and it is working out fantastic. They are rather large, but they look better than a tarp. They are palm trees, so don't lose any leaves.
