Tywais
Same here from my Chiangmai University account. Some sites no problems at all, eg. Bangkpost.com and cnn.com but yahoo times out. Actually been off and on like this for a couple of days. I figured it was due to heavy traffic at the uni from the students (science fair going on now) now not sure why. Highwayman
Gmail timing out but Yahoo! is working okay for me. A mixture with other sites, some including Thai Visa and ABC News Australia slow to load, others just timing out, network errors etc. Using True basic ADSL on the outskirts of Bangkok, usually pretty good. pantsninja
that's fairly bad that an entire network craps itself. my connection also was not working until 11:30, drove me nuts, some stuff was working then MSN messenger wouldn't work, then the internet died completely with DNS server error. arg. but working now, and nothing really can be done about it except bitching and moaning to make ourselves feel better. lopburi3
There have been at least two threads already reporting that CAT (the mailmen) are working on the old undersea cable (the only one they chose to be a part of) until the 20th (started as until the 15th) and that there will be outages. We have had a very in/out morning today.

clokwise
I noticed sites we're not resolving so I changed my DNS servers settings to a server outside Thailand and everything came up after that. I've since switched back because whatever the problem was seems to have been fixed.
