Extending Visa Before It Expires

Featured Replies

my visa runs out on the 28th december. If I do a visa run with a friend say on the 20th, does it start from the day I cross over or from the 28th december

thanks

You can not extend a visa by making a visa run - only enter on a new visa if you have a valid visa for entry. So unable to answer your post until you advise what expires on the 28th. Is it your permission to stay? Your multi entry visa?

Any entry into Thailand is day one of a new entry and permitted to stay time counts from then.

If you have any entries left, if you cross on the 20th the start period of that entry stamp will start that day, be it 60, 90 or 1 year , you haven't said what type of visa you have.
