Bs 1363 Plug And Socket

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I have been trying to find the BS 1363 plug and socket in every HomePro and HomeWork location and couldn't find any. I had even went to Pantip but to no avail. Do we have these here in Thailand or at least the schuko plugs and socket?

I've noticed that most appliances here are not grounded. I've just bought and LG 19Q fridge and it only came with an unpolarized type A plug....

All of these, made me thinking of changing the electrical setup, plugs, socket, and etc.

Thanks in advance for the help, cheers! :)

I have not seen BS 1363 plugs and sockets but my house is wired with earthed sockets so I normally change the plug to suit or if only using and item short term then use an earthed adaptor.

If you want a BS1363 plug you'll need to go to Malaysia :(

Actually, I think I have a couple around that I've removed from stuff brought from the UK but I'm not in Thailand until next week, if you're still looking then let me know.

Of course, one could ask why you need one :)

Homepro will have adaptors to local 2 and 3 pin outlets from pretty well anything on earth (look for the WonPro display), they also have Schuko sockets that fit local wall boxes and I've certainly seen Schuko plugs there too.

Thanks RabC and Crossy for the information. I'll definitely go for the schuko then :)
