Reentry Permit Update

Yesterday I got a reentry permit at Chaengwattana and asked about the current status at the airport:

I was told that you need to fill out the normal form and you can do it on weekends and holidays at the airport when the immigration office is closed.

I am not sure if the above is 100% corrrect but that is what I was told.

It is all still a bit unclear, so I would encourage people to continue giving reports about their experiences with re-entry permits at the airport.

The official immigration webiste nnow states this:

— You could apply a re-entry permit at every checkpoint. However at Suvarnabhumi Airport Checkpoint would provide this service if necessary depend on officers approval.

But it seems that immigration at Suv. are now very relaxed as to the requirement of a necessity.
