Rimmer Posted December 16, 2010 Share Posted December 16, 2010 Coconut Milk Shortage leads to 100% price hike in Pattaya markets PATTAYA: -- A shortage of coconuts here in Thailand is causing much concern amongst residents of Pattaya and surrounding districts. Due to adverse weather conditions Thailand now has to import coconuts from countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. Local market vendors are now paying more to their suppliers and have to pass on the increased cost to customers.
