nikster
ER6n vs Ninja 650 vs Versys all in one race - would *love* to see that!! The Versys should have the edge in the corners, ER-6n/f on the straights...

If the owner of the ER6n above is smart, he'll drag the bike out onto the highway and drop it there before he calls his insurance company (I'm joking really- he binned it at the entrance to the straight in front of a big crowd of spectators and cameras so I guess the cat's out of the bag): Fortunately I finished the race in one piece Let the Good Times ROLL! Glad your okay, though I didn't know you had come unstuck at a track day. Cheers, Garry Cheers Garry, Yes, I figured you were joking, and no, that's not my busted up ER6n, that belonged to a Thai fellow who crashed out after running a bit wide and hitting the rumble strip- As I mentioned in the previous post, I finished the race without any drama (There were quite a few crashes though, but fortunately no serious injuries). BigBikeBKK
Some more pictures from today's Kawasaki 650cc Fun Race at BIRA Circuit! NormanW posing with his ER6n- looking great in the new leathers boots and gloves! NormanW's Slime Green ER6n and my ER6n"RR"- Getting ready to roll! Mugging for the photographers before the race- Khun Pep looks a bit unhinged but rest assured he's really a great guy! On the starting grid- Starting positions were determined by random draw and I ended up WAY BACK in the pack at position 15... Ready to ROLL! Blasting down the straight- Big thanks to my mate Neil who took most of these pictures. Looking forward to the next one! Let the Good Times ROLL! Only language that I seem to have a passable command of is Gibberish - and I've probably spelt (spelled?) that incorrectly. Have a great day and stay safe to all. BigBikeBKK
Some more pics from the Kawasaki Fun Race at BIRA Circuit! I started at number 15 on the grid and had to get past all of these guys! There's Jonnie (NormanW on ThaiVisa) in green on the number 53 ER6n- A good pic of Jonnie on number 53- (next time we see him he'll be sporting a LeoVince!) For some reason they allowed a trio of Ninja 250R's to join the 650cc race as well- Oddly enough two of them crashed out... I thought I'd have trouble with number 14 as he certainly LOOKS the business! It turns out flashy graphics don't actually make you go faster Still, a dam_n nice looking ER6n! Some other random pics. Khun Pep on a nicely tarted up Versys- Knee down on a Versys! Some cool graphics on this Ninja 650R: Here's Khun Pui who came in second- And finally a couple pics of yours truly :jap: Woohoo! thaieagle67
Awsome photos and what looks like a f#*king great one make race. Like "Garry" i would love to get into this but need to get a track bike, so some questions for BigBikeBKK - Are novices accepted and would you suggest a few days with Highside Tours first? How many events a year at present and finally how much have you needed to change/spend on the bike to make it competitive? Like Garry i own a Ducati but far too expensive to throw down the road, so this would be right up my street for a buzz and to mix with the like minded.
