Chumphon To Phuket

Featured Replies

Hi .

I have never been to the other coast of thailand after 7 years want to go to Phuket and that area

I will be leaving from Chumphon because i will be there visiting family and want to spend about 10 days on the coast ,,how long a drive is it from Chumphon , would any body know thanks

Approx 5-6 hours..thats to Patong....down to Surat and turn right..its signposted all the way.

I agree, about six hours. Two choices though, go straight at Chumpom and then on to Surat or, go right, head across country and on to Phuket via the West coast road. I think the scenery is nicer if you cut across country but the road is a slower one.

The most scenic road is the one over the mountains. The waterfall will be very spectacular at the moment.I have ridden it many times. Head to Ranong from Chumphon then just follow the road down the coast to Phuket. Steady driving will get you there in around 6 hours. :D

H2O has it right and the best route and most scenic!!! done it soo many times.

2 hours to Ranong then 4 to just about anywhere in Phuket.

Be aware that the Patong festival is going on and patong has to many cars/people/motorbikes

Try this.

South from Chumphon.

Right in Lang Suan to R-krut.

Then left south to Phuket.

Don't miss nam tok hao loam !
