angelparadise
hey Dear all i have two friends who hold chinese passport with a Thai TR visa and plan to stay in thailand for a month fly in and out from bangkok but in the middle, they want to go visit Cambodia but usually the TR visa are single entry so i wonder, should they go to cambodia and come back and get a VOA at the cambodia boarder or should they get an re-entry on that Thai Tourist visa or should they just try to apply a multiple entry TR visa in China? Thanks for your advice.
Maestro
Chinese citizens qualify for the visa on arrival (VOA) but please note the limited number of Thai entry points where the VOA is issued. The alternative is indeed a re-entry permit for 1,000 Baht. I would go for the re-entry permit: no risk of a surprise and no delay upon return to Thailand. angelparadise
ahh, ok, not sure about the cambodia boarder whether they can issue VOA to thailand... so yea, sounds better for a re-entry. but where else can they do this re-entry? only that really far away grand immigration place? or does the downtown one still works on Saturday>? Near or far is relative to where you are at the moment. One ThaiVisa member posted that he lives only a few hundred metres from the Chaeng Watthana immigration office, so for him it is near. Is Samut Prakhan perhaps closer to where your Chinese friends will be staying?
angelparadise
hehe, sorry about my vague description several years ago i used to go to the downtown immigration, i think near wireless road, near those embassies. but i just checked from the map samut prakhan is near chaopaya right? ok i think my friends will be staying around Ramkamhaeng Rd.Near Rama9 so where is the best choice? thank you so much though~! lopburi3
The airport web site has stated it is open but did not provide hours of operation.
