Featured Replies

Hi

I am interest to invest in US stock market.

I am foreigner working in Thailand with work permitt.

Can any advice how to send money from Thailand to Broker (IB broker) in Citibank USA for invest US stocks?

Which Bank should I transfer and withdraw with the lowest transfer fee.

Is there any restriction from Bank Of Thailand for sending out money to US?

Thank you in advance

Best Regards

Onny

If you have a work permit you are allowed to send money from your back to any foreign bank. Ask your broker the information of the broker’s bank and the account information and just wire the money

Perhaps try Citibank in Bangkok.

BOT rules are; As foreigner you can transfer up to US$20k for personal use without paperwork.

Anything else needs documentation/invoice.

But please note different banks and different branches may have their own "sub-rules"
