Parting With A Rt Bangkok-To-Taipei Ticket

Hello everyone,

I recently found out that I cannot take a short excursion to Taiwan as I had anticipated. I'm based in the states and don't anticipate returning to Asia anytime soon after my upcoming trip, so I won't have any use for this ticket.

If anyone is interested in flying to Taipei from Bangkok and can finalize their dates before January 7th, please let me know. The roundtrip ticket cost me ~3700THB when I bought months in advance, but I'm happy to provide a very reasonable discount depending on the listed prices for your departure dates. My hope is that I can recuperate a fraction of my expenses, plus you can take a nice, impromptu trip.

Taiwan's a very nice place - with delicious food, great service all-around, friendly people, and a passable level of english-fluency. The currency is roughly the same value as the baht, dollar-for-dollar.

AFAIK, AirAsia does allow name changes, for a fee. http://www.airasia.com/my/en/faq.html

How do I make a name change for an existing booking?

Answer :

Name change is allowed up to six (6) hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. To make the changes, you can either contact our Call Centre or go to any of our Sales Offices/Airport Sales Counters for assistance. We will require proof of identity of both the original and substitute guest to ensure authenticity of the request. Please note that name change is subject to a fee as provided for in the fee schedule and is only available for certain fare classes only.

However, I suspect this may be challenging to actually execute and coordinate, especially on an international flight. YMMV.
