Went to Mae Sai on the 25th December to do my visa run and found it a very smooth process, very freindly and efficient, a model for how things should be done, on both sides of the border. A good Christmas feel to the Thai side of the border too, complete with Jingle Bells and roasted Chestnuts. On the way back stopped off at the Chang Rai Aboretum, well worth a look and had a first class pork cop and jacket potato for 175 bts.

Will definetly return to this scenic part of Thailand, a christmass witha difference
