Holiday Location Recommendations

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Following my last post, we have decided to postpone moving to Thailand for the next 12 months.

This post is however, wanting recommendations on locations to stay on holiday.

My parents will be coming with my family on our hols this year and i thought instead of going to the usual in Jomtien, we should try somewhere different, this is where i want your help :)

I would like to be by the beach, lots of activities and attractions to kep us occupied and perhaps a golf course nearby, oh, and there should be a few bars just to keep us entertained in the evening but not like Pattaya. Can anyone give me some recommendations please :)

I'm going to move this over to the Travel Forum. My recommendation would be Hua Hin. Have you ever been there?

If you just want a quite family holiday try Ko lak , near Phuket , Its about one and a half hours by taxi north of Phuket , not expensive and every thing is new , there are beaches as far as the eyes can see, They are very friendly, Plenty of swimming pools and things to do , Don't take my word do some research.

What about Ko Samui?

http://www.homeaway.nl/vakantiewoning/p495462 Just 500 mtr from Bophuthills Golfcourse and 20 min drive to Santiburi Golf and Country Club. Koh Samui is different from Pattaya and Phuket.. More cosy but also a lot of super bars, restaurants, shops! Entertainment for everyone!
