January 5, 201115 yr Hi, I am looking for a reliable driver with a van or pick up who can drive me to Mahasarakhan early Sunday and back to Bangkok same day. I need to pick up a motorbike over there. My budget is 2500 THB which is approx 1000 THB for LPG / Diesel plus 1500 THB fpr the driver, what I hope I a fair deal. Any idea or recommondation? Thx in advance, C

January 6, 201115 yr Right, the train is the cheapest and best solution but from some station 1 passenger must travel with, it can't sent as cargo only. January 7, 201115 yr That's what the mobile phone is for, just call and ask. Most stations will send it unaccompanied. You can also send it through the post office. I was there yesterday and saw 2 atm machines( atm's from a bank, not foreigners with needy gf's) being "mailed" up north. A few bikes as well. Makes up for the lost revenue from email. January 9, 201115 yr We use vans, pickups and drivers all the time. Vans (VIP new Toyotas with luxury fitout and DVD/TV) we get 1800 a day with driver for 12 hours and fuel and tolls as used. Pickups are 1200 a day with drivers. We allow 10 litres per 100 kms for both x going rate. Tolls in addition and 100 Baht per diem for drivers food and drinks. If you need help on this anytime just message me. Only just saw the post for today so a bit late. Edited January 9, 201115 yr by asiawatcher
