Police Major Sutum from Pattaya Police Station was on patrol in the early hours of Thursday Morning when he noticed something that you don’t normally see at this time of the day. A man was running down the road clutching a microwave oven. Police approached the man, Khun Somnook aged 19 and asked him why he was carrying a microwave in the street at 3.30 in the morning. He claimed he was moving it for a friend. The story was obviously not true and the man was arrested and taken back to the Police Station where he eventually admitted to stealing the oven from a house inside the Supamit Villas in Soi Bongkot, Central Pattaya. The owner of the oven was tracked down and positively identified her stolen property. The suspect confessed to entering the house with a key which had been copied by a man known as Khun Jack who had undertaken some decorating work at the house and was given a key to the house which he never returned. Khun Somnook was charged with breaking and entering along with theft and the hunt is now on for Khun Jack who will face accessory to theft charges.
