hi does anyone know a gold shop where i could sell a krugerrand gold coin, they are one oz south african gold in bangkok ideallyor if not bangkok somewhere in SE asia what are they worth currently? gold is about 1400 dollar per oz i think at moment

Current price is around $1475....typically take the current gold price and add 5-10% premium (dependent on how many, condition etc)

Not sure if a bank in Thailand will take them off you...the local gold shops might

I had some a few years ago and couldn't find a bank or gold shop to accept them (Chiang Mai). Ended up having a friend who was going back to England to convert them and pay me after his return.

In Silom, Patpong area there is a Chinese Gold Shop that buys Kuggerands. I've had one sold their a while ago.

A premium is added when you buy a coin from a bank or dealer. When selling your coin you will always receive less than the spot price, unless you sell to a private person.
