After nearly two decades of living and traveling in Asia. there is a high probability I will be forced to make an extension due to a camera repair.

Would anyone be so kind as to give me directions from Huay Kwang MRT or barring that, the end of the line where I might alight for bus, moto...be it BangSue or Chatachuk or Sapahan Kwai??

Anyway, I would like to do this as easily as possible, a taxi is fine <100B if possible. Barring that, minibus and/or motos also good as well. A moto all the way from MRT to the office would work too.

I could come back a different way as well, have time on my hands. I once read someone doing this by boat.

Looking for cheap and efficient (speedy) to get me there.

Thanks

PS: what sort of paperwork/photos will I need for processing?

I searched "directions Bangkok immigration" and another query, came up with nothing of value.

I recall colamumbai had a fairly detailed desc of the trip some weeks or mos ago.

Thanks, the supporting notes @ bottom should do me.

I have posted this same note before here.

Im not sure about mini vans from the MRT station you mentioned but I do know that this is an easy and chaep way;

  1. Mini van from Victory monument to Laksi - 25 baht. Just ask the driver to drop you at the Immigration. Just ask where the vans going to Laksi are.
  2. Free shuttle service 20 meters inside the roadway from the main street that you will be dropped off at and free shuttle back after your done
  3. Do not let the Motorcycle taxis that will stop you on the 20 metre walk to the free shuttle convince you otherwise.
  4. After you take the shuttle back you can cross the main street to Big-C and get a mini van back to Victory monument

The main immigration office you need to get to is about 1.5 kilos from the main street in Laksi. The whole area looks like a Government City in it's self and really it is. It's quite easy really. Just get out of the mini van from Victory Monument, walk 20 meters to the shuttle bus (they leave every 15 minutes) and your there.

He told you how to get there but not how to get back.

There is a bit of a "Motorbike Mafia" at the Immigration building. Nobody will help you find where the free bus leaves, going back to the entrance of the complex. The guards always try to call you a moto..20 baht. Hang tough and keep your eyes open for Thais waiting and you'll probably find it.

When you get to the complex entrance, walk to the right to the footbridge and cross the highway. There is a bus stop right there. The vans are not marked so you will have to ask "Bie Mor Chit Kharp"

There are several buses that also go to Mor Chit, the 52 for one. Once again, ask when you get on.

By the way, it's helpful to know the Thai term for the Immigration complex"TOR MOR CHAING WATTANA"
