Routeur+Vista 64

Featured Replies

Hello,

I would like buy a routeur,

but I not sure if the 2 I'm looking for can work with VISTA 64

D-link DIR-615

and

Linksys E1000

Some of you use it and can tell me more,

thanks.

The model of the router is quite independant from the OS on the computer.

As Astral says, it doesn't really matter which OS you run. Wireless standards are wireless standards no matter the OS.

Thanks :D

but why 'Buffalo' (routeur) for exemple write vista (32)

or Belkin vista (32/64)

D-link and linksys just write vista without precisions...

I get trouble before with 1 hercules webcam write vista and in fact it's only work with vista 32 :/

Wireless routers are generally independent of the computer and operating system. The reason that one may advertise Vista 32/64, or not is probably more to do with the accompanying software or simply to through a key word onto their advert. I don't use Windows and currently using a Huawei, D-link, and an SMC router.

Personally, of the two routers you are comparing, I would lean towards the D-link. Both offer the N-light of 150mbs transfer rate. The linksys looks cool, but the d-link seems to be more functional. It can be attached to a wall or sit on a disk, has replaceable/upgradeable antennae, and can be flashed with dd-wrt.

Good luck!
