Just tried the new "Teak House" Restaurant. Located opposite the Cosmo Station North of Mae Fa Luang University on the main Super Highway.

Nice selection of western and thai food. They have steaks, burgers, itallian, and various other western dishes.

Thai food was good and inexpensive. Nice atmosphere. Coffee, a few pastries, and ice cream type deserts.

The steak I had (local beef) was not bad. Need to try more of their selections.

They also have NZ beef and Salmon on offer.

Quite extensive western food menu.

Anyone tried the other New Steak House and Coffee shop on the North bound lanes of the same highway near the PTT / 7-11 north of Mae Fa Luang ? (Yellow Building and Pink Windmill out front)

It is further to the north than the 'Pink Mill', namely

in Ban Huay Kien and on the other side of the road.

You will have to take the U-turn somewhere 'under the

smoke' of a Cosmo gasoline station.

"Teak Café" is the name.

The backside, where you have a few small pavillions,

is very quiet. I'm afraid that the only view that

'the mill' on the other hand offers is that of a

'superhighway'.

Tacoboy is right indeed concerning its kitchen.

I'm for instance not directly a hamburger fan, but they make

a similar product that they name so and it's real tasty.

Also the veal sausage is excellent.

Only the design of the place is worth a visit already.

And the design of the furniture as well of course.

Anybody who is building a house or planning to buy furniture

might be happy to find inspiration here.

I don't know if they have much in stock, but you can place orders.

I was impressed with the Atmosphere, Archetecture, and Furnishings of the Teak House.

Appears to be owned and operated by Thai's with a good knowledge of Western Foods.

I thought it was comfortable and the food was good.

I would go back and try more of their menu when I am in that area and feeling hungry. :D
