proximity
Can anyone recommend a minicab or car service, I need to travel from Heathrow to W1 with four passengers. Don't want to deal with the trains with bags.

theoldgit
^^^^^ Interestingly the second link smokie36 provided is actually cheaper than four people using the Heathrow Express. Edited January 12, 2011 by theoldgit
tolsti
I used to work for a chauffeur company with a base at Heathrow taking pilots and cabin crew all over the UK. The besst minican company in the area was Addison Lee London Airport Cabs will get you all you nned to know and the ability to book on line. Exactly, for a few more GBP per head I can go right to the hotel door without shelping bags all over the place.
DaddyCool
Cant beat a London Black Taxi... better then the scabs.. to W1 about £70-£80... not bad between 4 of you. All ranked up outside the terminals...just jump in and away you go. At least they know where they are going.

Not sure how many people cant afford a UK holiday, but apparently 29 million people can ( annually )..according the national statistics. I thinks thats more tourists than Thailand! I use Black Cabs regularly but why would anyone want to when the prebookable service is half the price? Sure they are generally safer but its a lot of cash difference on a longer journey. As for the tourists coming to London...I can only pity them really....
