Camcorder With Minidv Tapes

Featured Replies

Hi guys (and gals),

Some might remember I was looking for a camcorder for VHS-C tapes in July-August. I got help from the forum at that time to make that project successful.

So now I am involved in another project involving 30 miniDV tapes that I will convert, edit etc. (First project was probably not too bad! :) )

So is there someone that has a camcorder for miniDV tapes that I can borrow, rent or buy?

The one used for these tapes was a Panasonic GS-120 from around 2004 but what I understand there were many camcorders at that time using the same technique and same miniDV tapes.

Thank you !

Yeah, I checked Ebay. The problem with camcorders in US is that they are made for NTSC and Europe use PAL-system. So I dont think they will work. I have found some in UK but they do not ship outside UK. Cannot find any in Ebay Singapore.

The model used Panasonic NV-GS120, the same model in US is Panasonic PV-GS120.

NV probably stand for PAL and PV with same logic stands for NTSC

Thanks!
