OK. I'm back now with my new Non-imm "O" visa.

Question's:

1. Do I have to go to my immigration office now and report in, or did my entry start the calendar?

2. When does my wife have to report that she has a big white boy staying in the house?

Thanks

You report where you are staying on your entry card, if it was your wifes address I don't believe you need to make a separate report.

If it wasn't, then either you or your wife need to inform immigration of your address.

Immigration came to visit me a while back (married person extension) and noticed white men living in the houses to either side of me (visa runs) without any information on file. There was much banging on doors and shouting, followed by the threat, if you don't report your address to immigration within 2 days you will be in big trouble. Very angry immigration men.

As Lite Beer says, you don't need to do 90 day reports.

But every foreigner in Thailand is required, by law, to have their address on file with immigration.

If in a hotel/guest house/condo residence no problem, management does it, if renting a house from a Thai or living with a Thai family, problem, as they don't know the rules on foreigners living in Thailand, so won't do the report.

(They also won't be doing the report as they will not admit to officially renting a house as they don't want to pay the 15% income tax on the rental)

You do not have to do 90 day reports as you will not be in the country for more than 90 days.

Why will I not be here longer than 90 days? I have a Non-Imm "O" visa with multi-entry. I thought I report in to immigration every 90 days.

Sorry. I understand. I think you meant to say "Without an extension to stay, you won't be here longer than 90 days." Am I correct?

No. You have to leave the Country every 90 days. :(

Multiple Entries. Each entry a maximum of 90 days. Do your final border run just before it expires and get another 90 days giving a total of 15 months.

This brings another thought.

Should I wait until I am close to my 90 days to apply for my extension?

That seems reasonable to me, however...

Reason never seems to matter much.

Thanks

Apply for a 12 month extension within the final 30 days of any permission to stay if you meet the financial requirements.

However if you intend on doing this soon you only needed a single Non Imm O Visa not a Multi.
