Questions About Renewing My 1 Year "Non-O" -Retirement Visa

Featured Replies

My question is : Does the required 800,000 baht need to be in my Thai bank for 2 or 3 months before I can renew my retirement visa for another 1 year extension? Also, if I desired, would I be allowed to renew my retirement visa early , say 1 month before its expiration date ??

For renewal of your annual extension of stay based on retirement the 800k baht needs to be in a Thai bank account for three months. One month early is ok in most immigration offices.

First time annual extension based on retirement using 800K -- money in the account for TWO months

Subsequent extensions -- THREE months

Combination method (mix of bank plus embassy letter) -- no time requirement for the money part
