I an a norwegian citizen, arrived bankok 1st of dec and I had the clear idea that I could stay 60 days without a visa. I discovered only yesterday by speaking to another norwegian tourist that I was very wrong indeed.

Now I am left in a very difficult situation, my return flight is 25 jan. , should I go to immigration police monday morning or simply trye to solve the matter by paying my fines in the airport when departing.. Also my cash situation is not the best, so please also indicate if I will have to pay much more than the daily 500 overtay fine.

The stamp you got in your passport when you arrived will tell you when you have to leave.

It was probably 30th Dec.

You might as well wait until 25th Jan and leave at the airport. Arrive early and pay your fine when leaving.

It should be 13,000 Baht.
