Just curious. Did he go for mother, daughter, or both? :D

I'm afraid the oil price will go up as a compensation to the poor guy.

What scares me is his room safe was opened. I try not to travel with expensive items, but sometimes put my passport, camera, netbook, etc in there for safe keeping. Maybe it isn't so safe after all????

I learned a hard lesson in samui 15 years ago about safes in rooms: moving forward I always carry with me a few ounces of overly ripe blue cheese and put it inside a locked container then inside the safe.

Sometimes however I forget to remove it upon checking out. (my apologies to those past, present and future accidentally affected).

The passport remains with me.

Thanks, gave me a good chuckle this morning! :)

If you're drugged with Rohypnol, the choice drugs for Beach road, you will do whatever the perpetrators ask you to do, including open your safe for them and give them your pin code.
