Crime Tourist Stabbed in Patong Over 60-Baht Fruit Dispute
I'm not here to argue with you, as some of your posts are okay. Please don't assume what you know about me. I've been a tourist and seen what they're capable of, both here and in other countries. You don't have to worry about me. Not only can I take very good care of myself but your assumptions that I'm against Thais or any other nationality, creed or race are dead wrong. I get along with everyone, respecting cultures and people, even if some act with total ignorance. I had a Thai wife who was wrong, but this didn't put me negatively against Thais, as my daughter is half Thai and my girlfriend here for over 4 years is Thai. I'm fully aware what some foreigners do here and in other countries. I lived in the US 62 years and didn't stay inside my house. I saw tourists all my life from many countries, and most are respectable. The same here with foreigners, most of whom are taking care of women here and children, and contributing to the economy. You need to remember that 99% of crime here, and in all other countries, is committed by locals. Ignorant and criminal foreigners visit all countries, and think they can do whatever they want. they act the same back n their countries, and some of the crime here , including human trafficking, involves foreigners, so I'm gain well aware of what goes on. Disrespect by anyone shouldn't be tolerated, but you need to put the blame where it is, individually. -

Crime Drunk, High Son Fatally Beats 77-Year-Old Mother
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. Police at Bo Thong station in Chonburi province were called to a distressing incident after a 77-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Moo 5, Pluang Thong subdistrict. The victim, identified as Mrs. Yom, had sustained fatal head injuries. At the scene, officers discovered a thick wooden stick, approximately 2 inches thick and 3 inches wide, lying near the victim, which was collected as evidence. The suspect is her 50-year-old son, Mr. Charan, who admitted to the assault. Following the incident, Mr. Charan reportedly felt remorse and sought to ordain as a monk at Wat Wang Ree to repent. However, the temple’s monks declined his request, leading him to surrender himself to Bo Thong police. Mrs. Praipai, 59, a former colleague of Mr. Charan who worked with him in construction, shared that he had recently stopped working after withdrawing money from his employer. She had intended to visit him that evening but was shocked to learn of the fatal attack on his mother. It was known that Mr. Charan frequently consumed alcohol and smoked cannabis. He often spoke about communicating with “gods in heaven,” claiming that if the gods commanded him to kill, he would obey. Friends had joked with him not to harm them, never expecting he would attack his own mother. Police documented the crime scene thoroughly as the investigation continues and handed the body to rescue volunteers to transport to hospital for detailed forensic examination. Crime Police Sergeant Arrested for Meth Possession in Police Flats
Picture courtesy of Matichon. A 30-year-old police sergeant major from Sam Ngam Police Station has been arrested after being caught in possession of 153 methamphetamine pills during a raid at police accommodation in Phichit province. The operation was led by Pol Col Sucheep Sithirach, Deputy Commander of Phichit Provincial Police, alongside senior officers Pol Col Chatch Chawornkul, Pol Col Phubet Saengarom, and Pol Col Lakh Rattanathawon. Acting on intelligence that the officer, identified as Pol Sgt Maj Piyanat “Fren”, had long been involved in drug use and rarely attended duty, the provincial police investigation team searched his room at the Phichit Provincial Police flats in Khlong Khachen subdistrict at around midday. Inside, officers discovered 153 methamphetamine tablets in a clear plastic bag placed on a computer desk, along with drug-taking paraphernalia. A urine test returned a positive result, confirming meth use. The suspect reportedly admitted to keeping the drugs for personal use, stating that he had obtained them from friends in the area. He also confessed to occasionally selling the pills to fellow users. The officer has been charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic and is being held without bail amid concerns he may interfere with others involved in the case. Pol Col Sucheep emphasised that the arrest was part of a national police initiative, in line with the government’s urgent three-month crackdown on drug trafficking and use. He added that the Phichit Provincial Police would “clean their own house first” to ensure the force was free from drugs. Adapted by Asean Now from Matichon 2025-08-09
