Red Shirts Should Try Thai Courts Before Using Thaksin Lawyer Amsterdam To File Case In World Court

Maybe the ICC should organize a training session in Thailand, like they had in the Dem. Rep. of Congo:

"From 18 to 22 January 2011, the Outreach Unit of the International Criminal Court (ICC) organised a second round of lectures on the Court at the Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs in Goma, North Kivu. This year, the Faculty of Law held a theoretical and practical seminar on the ICC for final-year undergraduate students.

Around thirty students attended the three-day event offering presentations on the key aspects of the Court – criminal law and procedure, the Court’s structure and jurisdiction, and the obligations of States Parties. Discussions focused mainly on the sovereignty of States Parties and complementarity between the Court’s mandate and that of national courts; relations between the United Nations Security Council and the Court; the Court’s independence; the role of individuals in referring matters to the Court; and the issuance of warrants of arrest by the Court and their execution."

The ICC won't accept the claim for formal perusal any more than a US congressional committee will invite Thaksin to appear before it (as claimed in a November news release by T and Amsterdam and T's Thai lawyer Noppadon - which we all knew was bullwaste from the get-go).

Thaksin and his handful of paid followers and his well-paid legal counsel are trying to be players on the international stage. As hard as they huff and puff, they won't be able to blow the house down (Abhisit's government). They're mostly playing for two audiences: the diminishing number of die-hard Red faithful, and the people overseas who might want to follow these things. If Thaksin was the captain of a sailing vessel, he'd be paying big boats to follow behind, with giant diesel fueled blowers to fill the sails. Lots of money-generated hot air, little movement.
